How did you use new media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?
When making my main product, I used a HD digital camera to film the majority of my footage. I used HD because I knew it would make the quality much better than if I were to use a video camera of lesser quality. There are some clips in my video which I used an iPhone to shoot, and these are the shots of the birds flying in the sky.
Whilst editing my footage, I used Final Cut Express. The program is really efficient and offered all of the editing techniques I need to create the effect I wanted.
All the other new technologies can be found in this YouTube video I created:

Starting the Evaluation
Today we've started to look at the questions for the evaluation and decided what format we're going to display our answers in.
The first thing to evaluate is the ways our media product uses, develops or challenges forms and conventions of real media products. I've decided to use Prezi for this evaluation, as I feel it will be a smart way to present all the points I will have when evaluating this. It also makes it easier to include different formats such as videos and audio in a neatly presented way.
Secondly, I need to evaluate how effective the combination of our main product and ancillary texts is, and I've chosen to present this through a voiceover whilst images of the main product and ancillary texts are being shown. My evaluation will be very clear as I will be talking everything through with visuals.
I've chosen to video myself and others when assessing what I learned from audience feedback. I'll video some of the people who gave me audience feedback repeating their previous opinions, before cutting to myself talking about what I learnt from it.
Finally, I will use Xtra Normal to reflect on how we used new technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages.
The variety of formats will help me evaluate in different ways, and also keep the evaluation interesting.

Changes in Light of Third Audience Feedback
As the only thing we were advised to do was to edit the rest of our footage to the same standard, we're going to do our best to make sure that our final cut is liked as much as our second. We can make sure that we're keeping up to our good standards by regularly showing our updates to the class and seeing what insights they have to offer.
